White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud announced on Friday that on Wednesday, one individual plead guilty to escape, while another was sentenced for a November offense.
42 year old Shannon Woodrow of Springerton entered an open plea of guilty to one charge of escape after she failed to report to the White County Jail. Woodrow was to report for a three month sentence on June 5, 2015 after a conviction of theft of funds while Mill Shoals Township Clerk in 2013. Woodrow was arrested on the escape charge on October 15th.
Woodrow entered the plea before Judge T. Scott Webb and a sentencing date has been set for January 25, 2016. She faces a possible sentence of 2-5 years in DOC custody, probation, or conditional release up to 30 months.
23 year old Kyle D Buchanan of Carmi pled guilty to one count of Criminal Trespass to a Residence for an offence that occurred on November 18th, when he was arrested by Carmi Police. Buchanan was sentenced to two years behind bars, one year of mandatory supervised release, and to pay court costs.
