The Carmi Sheriff Department has been staying busy serving warrants throughout the county.
On Saturday, April 30th at around 12:50 p.m. Deputy Capehart went to 509 4th Street in Crossville to look for 58 year old Donald Wolford, who is wanted on a FTA warrant for Theft. When Capehart arrived at the resident he made verbal contact with Wolford to confirm his identity, and then placed him under arrest. A custodial search of Wolford resulted in no contraband or weapons. He was then transported to the White County Jail. Bond was set at $500. Wolford will appear in court on June 7th at 9 a.m.
At around 5:15 that evening, Deputy Capehart observed 25 year old Zachary T Cotton of 503 NE Hamill Street, sitting in his vehicle in front of the White County Jail. Capehart was aware that Cotton was wanted on a White County warrant for Failure to Appear for Driving While License Suspended. Bond was set at $500. A court date has been set for May 31st.
And just an hour later, Deputy Wicker was patrolling in Maunie when he observed a vehicle traveling on Vine Street with no visible registration. Wicker initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle that then pulled into their driveway. The driver was identified as 43 year old Richard C Hargrove of 168 Washington Street in Maunie. After running Hargrove’s information through dispatch, it was confirmed that Hargrove had a White County warrant for Failure to Appear for the offense of No Valid CDL. Hargrove was taken into custody and transported to the White County Jail. Bond was set at $150. Hargrove paid bond and was released.
