On Saturday, May 13th, hundreds of junior high athletes gathered at Carterville High School for the 2023 SIJHSAA State Track Meet, and numerous Carmi-White County Bullpups competed for a state title.
On the girls side,
Brooke Rahmoeller did not place and Norah Taylor finished in 10th Place in High Jump.
For the boys,
In 100 Meter Dash, Cooper Hill finished in 11th Place, Jazz Duckworth finished in 12th Place.
In the 800 Meter Run, Andrew Benham finished in 9th Place.
In the 1600 Meter Run, Andrew Benham finished in 6th Place.
In the Shot Put, Dylan Winerberger finished in 6th Place.
In Discus, Rilee Dodgson finished in 12th Place.
In Pole Vault, Conner Benham finished in 7th Place.
The Boys 4×200 Relay Team consisting of Nolan Garner, Isaac Northcott, Colt Smock, Easton Fulkerson, Cooper Hill and Banks Moore finished in 11th Place.
Dylan Winerberger, Conner Benham and Andrew Benham all took home medals for their Top 7 finishes.
