Wilcox Picks up Second Obstruction of Justice Charge in a Year

A McLeansboro woman is free on bond following her arrest by White County Sheriff’s deputies Sunday afternoon.  It was just after 4pm when officers were called to an apartment on Rudolph Street in Crossville.  19 year old Christopher Sheckles said a female had spent the night and was now refusing to leave. Officers made contact with the woman, later identified as 33 year old Sarah Wilcox, was dodgy in identifying herself according to the report and would eventually be taken into custody because of it.  Wilcox was charged with Obstruction of Justice.  Wilcox would spend the night in the jail and bonded out just after 8am Monday morning.  Wilcox was found guilty of the same charge almost exactly a year ago for destroying evidence.  She was given 30 months of conditional discharge and a 6 month stayed jail sentence in May of 2022.  Online court records have yet to be updated on the latest infraction.
