White County Soil and Water Conservation District’s 76th Annual Meeting will be held Thursday, February 24, at the Floral Hall of the fairgrounds. Registration begins at 5:00 p.m. A free fish dinner and sides prepared by McPeak Fish Market will be served at 5:30.
A short business meeting will follow. Three Directors will be elected, and all owners and land occupiers of White County of legal voting age are eligible to vote. Awards will be presented to winners of the District’s annual Poster Contest and to the Conservation Farmer of the Year. Numerous door prizes donated by area businesses will be given away.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend the SWCD Annual Meeting. CDC guidelines will be followed, and the public is encouraged to check WROY/WRUL and local media for updates.
