White County Sheriff’s Reports from July 24th-July 25th

The White County Sheriff’s Office received a report from Paula M. Cox, of Crossville, Friday afternoon, someone removed mail from her mailbox. She advised her neighbor had given her a number of items of mail addressed to her that had been located in the neighbor’s yard. The White County Sheriff’s Office has received other calls of this nature in Crossville recently and they are looking into the matter.

 

Macey L. Gunter of Carmi reported to the White County Sheriff’s Office Friday afternoon, someone had entered her residence at 1104 Valter Drive. Gunter told Officers when she returned home for lunch Friday she observed someone had placed a can of cooking seasoning inside the microwave and there was a white greasy substance on her television cabinet and on the floor. There appeared to be no forced entry and Gunter said she does not believe she locked the door before leaving the residence Friday morning. Nothing else appeared to be missing or tampered with. Photographs were taken and a report was filed at the White County Sheriff’s Department.

 

A 36 year old Carmi woman, Brenda M. Daiby, was arrested Friday evening on White County warrant for Deceptive Practice. Officers from the White County Sheriff’s Office and the Carmi Police Department observed Daiby standing outside by her vehicle and advised her that a warrant had been issued for her arrest. She was taken to the White County Jail where she bonded out to $1000 cash plus a $20 booking fee.

 

Donald R. Coston, of Carmi, reported to the White County Sheriff’s Office Saturday afternoon, a bicycle had been found in a creek near 505 S. Cross Street in Crossville. Coston told Officers he had located the bicycle while mowing the property and had no idea who the bicycle belonged to or who may have left it in the creek. The bicycle, a 20 inch Kent girl’s 2 Cool bicycle, not registered with the City of Carmi, and not listed as stolen, was taken to the White County Sheriff’s Office and placed in the sally port area outside the Sheriff’s Department. An incident report was place on file.
