White County Sheriff’s Office Takes Theft Reports Tuesday

A White County Sheriff’s Department Officer spoke by phone just after 11 AM on Tuesday, January 1tth to 31 year old Lance Molt of Beecher City to report a theft that had taken place at 1091 East Liberty Street in Mill Shoals.  Molt said he purchased a house trailer located on that property and was in the process of moving the trailer.  He said that about December 20th he saw the central air conditioning unit that had been attached to the house trailer had been removed.  Molt said the last time he was sure the unit was still attached was about three weeks before discovering the unit had been missing.  He didn’t know who might have taken it and said he spoke with a neighbor who said they had not seen anyone remove it from the property.  Molt said his insurance company told him to report the matter to police.  An incident report was placed on file with the Sheriff’s Department.

Another White County Sheriff’s Department Officer also received a call Tuesday at about 3:30 PM from Michelle Caudill to report a license plate missing off of a car.  She said the car is an older model black Dodge Avenger and the plate stolen is an Indiana plate number DDE166.  Caudill said the plate was on the car December 29th, but as of January 10th it was gone.  A report will be placed on file with the Sheriff’s Department.
