White County Sheriff’s Department Reports the Arrest Of Two

A Mill Shoals man is behind bars following his arrest by White County Sheriffs authorities Saturday night in Grayville.  Officers say they pulled over a white Chevy pickup with Kentucky registration at the corner of Gray and 2nd Street just before 10pm.  The officer says no rear registration lights are what prompted the initial traffic stop.  During the stop, the officer discovered 22 year old Joshua Smothers had a suspended Illinois drivers license.  Then officers say they found suspected methamphetamine while taking inventory of the vehicle.  Smothers was subsequently booked into the White County Jail and faces charges of Unlawful Use of Property, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Driving While License Suspended.

A Shawneetown woman is facing Criminal Trespassing charges after White County authorities arrested her at a Norris City residence Sunday afternoon.  It was just before 5:30pm when officers say they were called to the rural Norris City home of Steven Barker.  Barker called advising that 42 year old Robin Dunaway was at the house, in the garage taking photos despite an active Order of Protection.  Authorities placed Dunaway under arrest and she was booked into the White County Jail where $250 bail is required for her release.
