White County Sheriff’s Department Receives Report of Stolen Bicycle Friday

Dawn A. Fowler of Grayville contacted the White County Sheriff’s Department Friday afternoon to report a bicycle stolen from her yard. Fowler said the bicycle had been left at her residence by Doreen K. Powell of Carmi. Powell told Fowler she had purchased the bicycle from someone in Muncie, Indiana. Fowler stated to Officers that Powell was recently made aware the bicycle was actually stolen. Fowler told Officers Powell has since moved to Florida and left the bicycle in her care. The bicycle has been painted silver and black and there are no markings or identification numbers visible on the bicycle. Fowler stated she earlier had observed a male subject take the bicycle out of her yard and ride it towards Grayville. She contacted Grayville Police and was advised to report it to the White County Sheriff’s Department. Fowler stated she did not want the bicycle returned if it was located. She instead asked that the bicycle be donated to someone in need if possible. An incident report was placed on file at the White County Sheriff’s Department.
