White County Dispatch received a call Tuesday night about a dark colored truck that looked to be broken down on County Road 1700 N. The driver was revving the engine in a loud manner outside the caller’s residence. Upon arrival, Deputy Jordan Weiss located a Chevy truck with the engine hood up. A check of the license plate and registration came back registered to a black Jeep Utility. Deputy Weiss spoke with 42 year old Shawn Burgess of Enfield, who said he was heading back home when the truck started to cut out on him going up the hill. Dispatch advised that Burgess’ Driver’s License was suspended. Burgess was given two Notice to Appear tickets for Improper Registration and Driving While License is Suspended. The vehicle was towed by S&E Auto from the scene. 45 year old Veronica Taylor of Enfield arrived to give Shawn Burgess a ride home. A check with Dispatch confirmed Taylor had an active White County Warrant for Theft Under $500. Taylor called for someone to come and pickup her car. She was then transported to the White County Jail.
