The White County Sheriff’s Department took two theft reports on Thursday.
William Stanley of Crossville told deputies that sometime between October 7th and October 28th, someone took a box of Indian artifacts from his residence at 707 Rister Street. Stanley said that the collection is one that he had accrued over time, and that he would offer a $500 reward for the arrest of the person responsible.
Just after 9:30am, Wilma Burnett reported that a UPS package was stolen off of her front porch in Maunie on Monday. Burnett told deputies that UPS confirmed that the package had been delivered, but she never took possession. The value of the contents was estimated to be around $75.
