White County Fair Observing 143 Years
This year marks the 143rd year for the White County Fair, which gets underway Monday, August 9 and continues through Saturday night, August 14th.
The fair will open with the Queen pageant and conclude with a demolition derby.
Reigning fair queen, Kelsi Kessler will crown a new White County Fair Queen at the close of the pageant which will get underway around 7 that evening. The new queen will try and follow Kessler’s footsteps and win the Miss Illinois Fair Queen Pageant in January of 2022.
A junior miss and new Little Miss will also be crowned that evening.
Kaylyn Turner is the retiring Junior Miss. Rhaney Jack of Norris City is the retiring Little Miss.
They were all crowned in 2019 as the pandemic forced the cancellation of last year’s White County Fair.
There will be harness racing on Tuesday night.
There are no grandstand events scheduled at this time for Wednesday.
Go-cart racing on the dirt track returns on Thursday and Friday’s featured event will be truck and tractor pulls.
