The White County Fair is getting underway this week. The livestock show was held on Friday and Saturday to officially kick things off; the event gets kickin in earnest this evening with traditional grandstand events however. We’ll crown new royalty to start things off tonight. Reigning queens Payton Howard, Annsley Healy, and Anna Claire Campbell will relinquish their titles to new royalty with the pageant getting underway at 7pm tonight. Three young women will vie for the title of queen. There are nine young ladies competing for Junior Miss. Eight youngsters will try to win Little Miss. Grandstand admission is $10. Fair board president Rick Barbre says the Harness Racing scheduled for Tuesday will start at 5:30pm instead of 6pm. Eleven races are on the card on the half mile track. The carnival will be setting up today and rides will be available beginning Tuesday. Armbands will be available for $20 each nightly.
