The 145th annual White County Fair is just over two weeks away. Officials are preparing for two demolition derbies this year; one to open the fair on Saturday, August 3rd and another to close out festivities on August 10th. In between, the White County Fair will crown fresh royalty on Monday as Brenna Russell turns over her crown. New Junior and Little Miss titles will also be presented. The track will get it’s first work on Tuesday as the tradition of Harness Racing continues with a free grandstand. Thursday night, race promoter Drew Phipps brings Motocross in front of the grandstand. Friday night, it’s a return of crowd favorite Pig Penning. All events except for harness racing will get underway at 7pm. The livestock show will run from Friday, August 2nd to Saturday, August 3rd. Details on tickets and more information will be announced closer to the fair. Officials tell us more food vendors will be part of this year’s White County Fair than in quite some time.
