Being a member of White County CEO takes a special kind of young person. Disciplined, responsible…and if you’re among the best of the best, you might just be named the CEO or CFO of the CEO program. That’s what happened to Mercedes Hise. The NCOE Senior was recently named the Chief Financial Officer for her class. It’s not surprising once you realize Hise has been running her own business already and well before her participation in the CEO program started. Hise explains what some of those additional responsibilities will be.
“So when we do our class business, I’ll do all the banking and income/expenses for our class business.”
Hise has run Scents by Sadie all through high school. She sells car freshies, candles, wax melts, and also shirts as well. She’s got a facebook page where you can learn more about her offerings and you can email [email protected] to order as well. She’s well suited to serve as the CFO since she’s already dealt with finances in opening and launching her own hustle.
“I feel like…I mean I still have learned a lot of things, but it’s been maybe a bit easier for me as I go than it could’ve been for some others since I’ve already been a position to own my own business.”
The White County CEO program just finished getting participants matched up with mentors and will soon start working on their class business before turning their attention to individual enterprises. Learn more about the program by visiting http://www.whitecountyceo.com.
