The White County Board will gather for their next monthly meeting tonight at 7 PM at the White County Courthouse.
Following the approval of minutes from the March meeting, the board will hear reports from County Officers as well as comments from visitors. The board will then move on to tackling several items on the agenda. They will consider appointments to the Greater Wabash Regional Planning Commission Board for a two year term, an item that was tabled in March’s meeting.
Also on the agenda is to consider a rural agreement with Bellwether LLC for budget preparation, a payment to Johannes Construction LLC for the fourth installment for work on the former Carmi Times Building from ARPA funds and a letter of support to Crossville Communications for getting fiber to rural areas.
Next on the agenda for discussion and approval is the disbursement of funds for the Energy Grant, submitting a letter of support for not turning the Shawnee National Forest into a National Park, consider getting a structural engineer to assed the courthouse as well as consideration for the payment to Slays for work in the Sheriff’s office out of the ARPA funds.
Lastly, the board will consider the resolution for payment to Midwest Telecom for work on data cabling, fibers and phone system out of the ARPA funds.
An Executive Session will be held to discuss personnel and or litigation.
The White County Board will meet again on May 16th at 7:00 PM.
