It’s a week of meetings as the Carmi City Council, Carmi White County School Board and the White County Board are all on tap to meet this week.
The White County Board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday night at the White County Courthouse with a number of items on the agenda to cover.
Approval of the Fiscal year 2024 calendar, discussion and possible purging of excess equipment, an updated solar ordinance will be discussed and likely approved to coincide with the State of Illinois Statues, a solar application process is also on the agenda. Other solar business includes a decommissioning bond with Boomtown Solar.
The preliminary budget for Fiscal Year 2023 for White County, Coleman Rehab and Egyptian Health department is also on the agenda, along with a levy for all three entities.
The board will look at upgrading the phone systems for the probation department and possible approval of handicap accessibility for county buildings may follow discussion on that subject.
The county board meetings are open to the public with the exception of executive sessions to discuss personnel or litigation, which are closed to the public.
