Wayne County Agricultural Fair Underway

It’s hard to believe summer is moving right along and proving that is the fact it’s fair season.

With that in mind, the Wayne County Fair at Fairfield is underway and continues through next Saturday winding up with a giant demolition derby.

Citizen’s National Bank will host Pig Penning Monday night at 7. There is a $10 admission for the pig penning competition.

Mini-sprints will take to the Wayne County Fairgrounds track Tuesday night. Grandstand admission is $10 and pit passes can be purchased for $30.

Wednesday will be church night beginning at 7 p.m.

High-flying motorcycles and ATVs will take to the track Thursday night as the Lemond’s Motocross races will get underway at 7. Admission for the races will be $10.

Cowboys and cowgirls will take over the fairgrounds on Friday as the FNB TNA Rodeo comes to Fairfield. The rodeo action will get underway at 7 with a $10 admission for the show.

And like most area fairs, the week would not be complete without a demolition derby, so the Wayne County Fair events will wrap up Saturday night, July 17, with a demo-derby. Action will get underway around 7 and there will be a $20 charge for the “derby.”
