Amanda T. Ward, 24, of Carmi, was cited by Carmi Police early Sunday morning when officers responded to a vehicle vs. tree crash on Plum Street. After Field Sobriety Tests, Ward was cited for DUI of Alcohol, Operating an Uninsured Vehicle, and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. She was taken from the scene by ambulance, released with citations and a Notice to Appear due to medical complications of the crash.
