A Carmi woman is in the White County Jail after being arrested during a traffic stop Wednesday night. 38 year old Amber Walkenbach was stopped by an officer with the Carmi Police Department on Hillsdale just a little before 10 PM and taken into custody after officers found methamphetamine in the vehicle she was driving. She is being charged with Possession of Meth, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle by Driver. Walkenbach was also cited for Operation of a Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration due to Mandatory Insurance.
Walkenbach was booked in the White County Jail pending the setting of bond. No court date has been at this time.
