It was a historic day at Archie Brown Memorial Field on Wednesday as the Carmi-White County Lady Bulldogs defeated Flora by a final score of 5-1 to improve their overall record to 12-4 and their BDC record to 2-2.
Audrey Upton entered Wednesday’s game with 481 career strikeouts after an 11 K performance vs Edwards County on Tuesday.
She picked up right where she left off.
Upton struckout 17 Wolfgals, soaring her way past 500.
She allowed just 1 run on 3 hits and the Lady Bulldog offense drove their way to win number 12 on the season.
At the plate, Upton went 1-for-3.
Addie Elliott went 1-for-3.
Mara Serafini went 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored.
Eva Attebury went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Grace Sneed went 1-for-2.
Alayna Johnson went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI, 2 runs scored and her 6th home run of the year.
The Lady Bulldogs will host Edwards County Wednesday afternoon at Archie Brown Field.
