Upcoming Events at Southeastern Illinois College

Now through Dec. 4, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. while SIC is open –The Ella Elizabeth Hise Museum of Regional Art will host the Fiber Arts Exhibit. Capacity limited to no more than 10 visitors in the museum at one time. No food or drinks allowed in the museum. This show will run through Dec. 4. Museum hours are Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., the first Sunday of the month, 1-4 p.m., or by appointment. Nov. 11, All Day – Both Harrisburg and Carmi campuses will be closed for the day in observance of Veterans Day.

Nov. 14, Online – A Food Service Certification/Recertification Class (FOS 112 D) will be hosted online by SIC. The class is worth .5 credit, and tuition is $53 with a $59 fee. A picture I.D. will be required to take the certification exam. To register, contact Admissions at 252-5400 ext. 4120. For information, contact Lori Cox at ext. 2300. The last 2020 date for this class is Dec 12.

Dec. 15-17, All Day – Fall Semester Final Exams: Face-to-face tutoring appointments can be made by calling 252-5400 ext. 2383 or ext. 2442, or check out the FREE 24-hour online tutoring directly from students’ MySIC online class portal.

Dec. 22, 4:30 p.m. – SIC campus offices will close at 4:30 p.m.

Dec. 23-31, All Day – The Harrisburg and Carmi campuses will be closed for the winter break.

Dec. 28, All Day – The Online Winter Session begins, running through January 22. This year’s session will feature one class, Sociology 121. This 4-week online class will feature opportunities for class discussions and a research assignment where students will apply their knowledge in the field (with social distancing of course). Taught by SIC instructor Matt Lees.
