33 year old Dustin P. Bell, of Carmi, was sentenced Monday, in White County Court, to 6 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, plus one year Mandatory Supervised Release, on a class 3 felony charge of Forgery. Bell was also sentenced to 6 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, plus one year Mandatory Supervised Release, on a class 3 felony charge of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance. The sentences will run concurrently. Carmi Police Department was the investigating agency in both cases. The forgery case took place in June of 2020. The unlawful delivery of a controlled substance took place in November 2020. Due to COVID restrictions, Bell has a date to return to begin serving his sentence.
20 year old Shane Dill, of Mt. Carmel, was sentenced Monday in White County Court, to 4 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, plus 2 years Mandatory Supervised Release, on a class 2 felony charge of Arson. The Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshall was the investigating agency with the assistance of the Little Wabash Fire Department and the Mount Carmel Police Department. The incident took place in August 2020 in Grayville.
