Two More Individuals Arrested in Late November Robbery Spree

If they’d gotten away with it, it might’ve been an impressive feat fit for a Hollywood movie.  Instead, the suspects involved in a 9 location crime spree are now facing a variety of charges.

Amber Nunley and Tangela Winemiller are the latest suspects placed under arrest for their roles in what authorities say was a 4 and a half hour, seven location hit from Casey, Illinois to Terre Haute, Indiana.  That was November 22nd.  On November 27th, law enforcement believe Nunley along with Steven Williams (who was arrested in late November) then robbed a Mt. Carmel, IL gas station and subsequently drove to the Super 8 in Grayville to attempt a robbery there.

The November 22nd crimes involved a black vehicle as the getaway car.  The November 27th getaway vehicle was a white truck.  Reports indicate a few days later, a quick-witted Knox County Indiana sheriff’s deputy recognized Nunley and allegedly drove to Nunley’s home in Oaktown, IN where he found what he believed was the white truck parked outside.  During surveillance, he also saw Nunley’s boyfriend, Williams.

Authorities say they think it was Williams and Nunley who actively participated in the robberies.  They say Winemiller was responsible for renting the black car utilized in the November 22nd heist and they also believe she was the getaway driver for the Terre Haute hits.

All 3 individuals are being held at the Knox County jail.
