A traffic stop on Sunday resulted in the arrest of two women.
Misty Wells and Penney Sullivan, both of McLeansboro, were pulled over by the Carmi Police due to a suspended registration. An officer noticed a Marijuana pipe on the driver’s side floor board, resulting in a probable cause search.
Police found multiple Marijuana pipes, Marijuana in a non-child restraint container, Methamphetamine, and a used Methamphetamine pipe.
Wells was placed under arrest but later released with a Notice to Appear for Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle and Operation of a Suspended Registration.
Sullivan was arrested and held at the White County Jail for Possession of Methamphetamine and Unlawful Use of Property.
