Two Carmi residents are out with notices to appear following their arrests last week. Carmi Police arrested 58 year old Karen Hogue of Hillsdale Thursday afternoon when she turned herself in on a White County warrant. That warrant dates back to a charge issued in late February for Retail Theft with a Prior Conviction. A first appearance has been set for Hogue on May 8th before Judge Webb.
42 year old Charles Scott of Burrell Street was also picked up Thursday evening. Carmi Police say he was a passenger during a Stewart at Schumaker traffic stop. He was arrested on a Violation of an Order of Protection and taken into custody. About an hour after his arrest, Scott was released under the Pretrial Fairness Act and is now awaiting a first appearance in White County court scheduled for May 7th.
