Two Injured in Wednesday Afternoon Wayne County Crash on Highway 45

A Flora woman and a Louisville, IL woman are being treated for what officials call non life threatening injuries after a 3 vehicle crash in Wayne County Wednesday afternoon.  Illinois State Police say the accident happened on Highway 45 near County Road 2250 North.  All 3 vehicles were traveling in the same direction just before 1:30.  49 year old Ericka Spicer of Louisvile was reportedly stopped and waiting to make a left hand turn with 40 year old Tricia Colclasure of Flora safely stopped behind her.  The report indicates for unknown reasons, a 2017 International 3 Axle Truck driven by 41 year old James Riley of Ramsey, IL failed to stop and caused a chain reaction collision.  Riley was uninjured.  The two women were taken to Fairfield Memorial Hospital for treatment of bumps and bruises.  The northbound lane of Highway 45 was closed for about 2 hours while officials cleaned up the scene and law enforcement worked out details of what happened.  Riley has been cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
