A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of two Indiana residents. An officer with the Carmi Police Department initiated a traffic stop just after 11 a.m. on Tuesday. The driver of the vehicle, 29 year old Kyle J Miller of 9914 Raben Road in Mt Vernon, IN was arrested for Driving While License Suspended. His passenger, Cassidy C Curtis, 23, of 1010 E 2nd Street in Mt Vernon, IN was arrested on a Jasper County warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Possession of Methamphetamine. Miller and Curtis were additionally charged with Possession of Meth, (2.9 grams) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Miller was also charged with Unlawful Use of Property.
Bond on Curtis’s Jasper Co. warrant was set at $300. Bond on new charges for Miller and Curtis will be set by a judge.
