A relatively quiet Corn Day weekend for Carmi Police as only two arrests were made and those were both on the Columbus Day holiday Monday. First, was 36 year old Michelle Miller of 115 Marshall Place in Carmi. Police arrested her at around 3:30pm Monday for Criminal Trespass, Resisting/Obstruction of a Peace Officer, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Unlawful Use of Property. Police were called to Park Lane in Carmi after Miller allegedly accused a family member of stealing $400 and refusing to leave the house. Following her arrest, Miller was found with the $400 and methamphetamine in her bra according to the officer’s report. Online court records don’t yet indicate Miller’s day in court.
Later in the day, Carmi Police were called to 7th Street where they arrested 29 year old Rex Dalton Reel. He was wanted on a White County warrant for Aggravated Assault. He’s due in court this morning for a first appearance. The original charge dates back to May 11th.
