The White County Sheriff’s Department, along with the Illinois State Police, conducted a Traffic Safety detail on I-64. The main focus of this detail was to enforce speed and safety for motorists along the interstate in White County.
As a result, a total of 29 traffic stops were conducted, and thirty citations were issued to motorists who violated traffic laws. The 30 citations included 21 speeding violations, three Scott’s Law violations, two insurance violations, the arrest of one suspended driver, and the arrest of one driver who was in possession of methamphetamine.
The two individuals who were arrested were Sander Spies of St. Louis, MO, for Possession of Meth and William Price for driving while their license was suspended.
