White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud has reported the sentencing of three individuals to the Illinois Department of Corrections.
43 year old Joshua Gibbs of Harrisburg was sentenced to 5 years in the IDOC with 1 year Mandatory Supervised Release for Burglary, a class 2 Felony.
Tabitha Swango 42 of Carmi was sentenced to 6 years and 10 months in IDOC with 1 year Mandatory Supervised Release for Residential Burglary, a class 1 Felony, 6 years for Theft, a class 4 Felony and 6 years for Retail Theft, a class 4 Felony, all to run concurrent with one another. Swango was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $7,670.09 in the residential burglary case.
And 26 year old Dylan Rees of Carmi was sentenced to 3 years in the IDOC for Aggravated Battery, a class 3 Felony.
The Carmi Police Department was the investigating agency in all the cases. Gibbs, Swango and Rees were all represented by Public Defender Myra Yelle-Clark, Judge T Scott Webb was the presiding judge and State’s Attorney Denton prosecuted the cases.
