White County States Attorney Chris Neal has obtained sentences in cases against three men. The first, Timothy Hill will spend the next 3 years in prison following a petition to revoke probation. The original charges in the case date back to 2022. Online court records indicate guilty pleas to Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Possession of Meth. He was originally given a 6-month stayed jail sentence and 4 years of probation back in October of ’22. Last week, that petition to revoke was granted and Hill was sentenced. It will be served concurrent with a sentence out of Clinton County related to a Burglary charge that dates back to 2021. He was given a 4-year sentence there this past May.
Also last Wednesday, David Iverson was sentenced to 2 years with the Illinois Department of Corrections pursuant to a join recommendation after an admission to a Petition to Revoke Probation. His charges date back to October of 2022 in which he pled guilty to Possession of Meth as per a plea deal. He was originally ordered into drug treatment while given a 6-month stayed jail sentence, 50 hours of community service, and 2 years of probation. His sentence will run concurrent with a sentence handed down out of Edwards County.
Finally, Matthew Curtis received a decade sentence related to a 2019 Methamphetamine Delivery conviction. Curtis will serve that sentence concurrent with a Posey County, Indiana prison sentence.
