Three Arrested In Carmi On Tuesday

The Carmi Police Department reported three separate incidents within a five hour period Tuesday.

At approximately 3:30 PM, 50 year old Jerry Lamont of Maple Street in Carmi was arrested at the Burrell Woods entrance road for Driving While License Revoked.  He was taken to the White County Jail, where he was released after posting a $250 cash bond plus a $20 booking fee paid via court money, about two hours later.  A court date for Lamont was set for 9 AM on March 14th.

 

 

 

At about 7:45 PM, Samuel Carwile, 24, of Allendale, was arrested during a traffic stop at Oak and Eighth Streets for Driving While License Revoked and Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle.  He was taken to the White County Jail, where he bonded out to $250 cash plus a $20 booking fee.  Carwile has a court date of March 14th at 9 AM.

 

 

 

 

And 24 year old Timothy Brown of Schumaker Street in Carmi was pulled over at about a quarter after 8 PM because his 2000 Chevy Van had a headlight out.  A cannabis pipe was found in plain view on the floorboard.  Brown admitted to the officer it was cannabis.  He was arrested for Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle, and taken to the White County Jail, where was released on a $250 cash bond plus a $20 booking fee.
