Theft Reported
The White County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a case of theft.
Brian K. Thompson of 914 County Road 1165 East, Carmi, filed a desk report noting the theft occurred in the Crossville bottoms, east of the village.
Thompson filed the report Tuesday afternoon, shortly after 3.
That incident remains under investigation.
About an hour prior to Thompson’s report, Carmi police arrested a Grayville woman on charges of possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle.
Shelley D. Wilborn, 49, 218 North Third Street, Grayville was stopped by local police for using her cellphone at which time authorities also arrested Wilbon on the possession offense.
Wilborn posted $250 cash bond and paid a $20 booking fee prior to her release from custody.
