A Harrisburg man has bonded out of the White County Jail after being arrested during a traffic stop early Monday morning. An officer with the Carmi Police Department stopped 21 year old Elijah Persinger in the parking lot of Wal-Mart and took him into custody for Driving under the Influence of Alcohol. He is also being charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer. Persinger paid $100 bond and was released.
35 year old Benjamin Westphall of Fair Street in Carmi was arrested Monday evening for Driving Without a Valid Driver’s License. He was also cited for Operating a Vehicle with Suspended Registration for Noninsurance. He was booked in the White County Jail on $250 bond. Westphall paid bond and was released a few hours later.
