Dr. Clint Taylor is no stranger to giving back to his adopted community. A Pope County native, Taylor now calls Carmi home with his wife Kelly and his children. In addition, he’s been the owner/operator of Taylor Eye Care for a decade now and will be moving to a new location on Falcon Avenue in the future. A groundbreaking for the project is planned for early to mid October.
Beyond owning and operating a business, the optometrist has served as an officer and president of the Carmi Kiwanis Club and the Carmi Chamber of Commerce. So, giving back and/or volunteering have always been a part of Taylor’s modus operandi. To celebrate his decade as a business owner in August, the business decided to donate $10 from every sold pair of glasses including sunglasses and split it between the towns three civic organizations.
Making the first of three presentations Thursday, Taylor handed over a check to Carmi Kiwanis president Chris Myers. In total during August, Taylor Eye Care sold 83 pairs and had $830 to split between the Kiwanis, Lions and Rotary. Learn more about Taylor Eye Care at www.tayloreyecare.com or call 382 – 4683.
