Officers with the Carmi PD were dispatched to Carmi Wal-Mart in regards to an individual attempting to steal multiple items. At about 7:30 PM February 16th, 18 year old Austin Surratt was arrested for Retail Theft and Criminal Damage to Property. Surratt was caught with a power adapter and three bottle coolers. He was taken to the White County Jail, where he later bonded out to $100 and a $20 booking fee later that night.
