A Carmi man is back behind bars on the same drug charges just 8 months after a previous arrest. 67 year old David Strean was arrested back in December and charged with possession of meth. He’d be found guilty, given a 6 month stayed jail sentence, and was placed on 30 months of probation along with community service and fines. He was also ordered into drug treatment. Carmi Police arrested Strean just after 10am Wednesday at his Smith Street home. He now faces charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Use of Property, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
