The Carmi Police Department reported to the Car Corral due to a stolen orange and silver 2024 Polaris R24RRY side by side from their lot. After several days of investigation, police received enough information to obtain a search warrant for the residence and all property of Robert McGehee in Enfield. With the help of the White County Sheriff’s Department and the Norris City Police Department, the stolen Polaris was found on McGehee’s property. The Polaris had been altered after McGehee painted it and destroyed the VIN number.
While searching for the Polaris, illegal drug items were also found by police.
McGehee was placed under arrest and charged with Posession of a Stolen Vehicle, Defacing a Manufacturers ID number, Possession of Methamphetamine 400-900 grams, Unlawful Use of Property, Possession of Stolen Property, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The investigation continues into this theft and additional arrests are expected in the future.
If the public has any additional information about this case or other pending cases they are urged to contact the Carmi Police Department at 618-3820-4633 or the White County Crimestoppers at 1-800-637-3577.

February 24, 2024 at 8:39 pmBut he still had 4 grams of meth? Judging from your spelling you drank some of the water from the pipe. Who did he buy it off of? Since you know the story tell it all, the public wants to know.
