A Carmi man is awaiting a court date following his arrest by White County Sheriff’s personnel Tuesday morning. Law enforcement was notified of a wanted subject, 43 year-old Daniel Smith at the White County Probation office. Smith was wanted on a White County warrant for Driving While License Suspended and Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Damage. The deputy arrived on scene and placed Smith under arrest and walked him over to the White County Jail. He was subsequently booked and released with a notice to appear. Smith is due in White County court on November 21st for a first appearance.
