An Enfield man is behind bars awaiting a hearing before a judge in White County court after an incident in Carmi late Friday night. Just before midnight, Carmi Police say they were called to an Oak Street home where 29-year-old Jason Sigmund allegedly showed up and began making bodily harm threats to individuals there. When police arrived, the report indicates Sigmund took off running. Carmi Police were able to track the man down and apprehend him. Complaints were signed by two individuals and Sigmund was subsequently charged with two counts each of Assault and Disorderly Conduct as well as a count of Resisting a Police Officer.
