SIC Welcomes Black Diamond Harley-Davidson Scholarship Recipients

For 16 years, Black Diamond Harley-Davidson’s co-owners Rodney Cabaness and Shad Zimbro, have been teaming up with community colleges to award scholarships for students who choose to remain in the local region to attend college. The scholarships are $1,000 each, and this year nine local students from Southeastern Illinois College’s district were among the recipients.

To be eligible, scholarship recipients must demonstrate a strong work ethic and cooperative work skills. They must also be enrolled in their district’s community college for the summer 2024 and/or fall 2024 semester. Recipients were nominated and chosen by their school’s administrative staff and faculty.

SIC welcomes to the Falcon Family the following student recipients: Carmi-White County High School: Alexis Miller, Carrier Mills Stonefort High School: Lane Boaz, Eldorado High School: Jack Bruce, Galatia High School: Derrick Fitzpatrick, Gallatin County High School: Teegan Wright, Hardin County High School: Emery Stricklin, Harrisburg High School: Allison Moyer, NCOE High School: Claira Powell, and Pope County High School: Abigaile Bowman.

“These bright students have a high potential for a bright future, and we’re excited to have them at SIC,” said Tiffany Brannock, SIC Registrar. “We’re thankful to partner with Black Diamond Harley-Davidson each year to provide these opportunities for local students.”
