School Board Meeting Tonight
The Carmi White County School Board will hold its next regular meeting tonight at the Junior/Senior High School Cafeteria.
There will be a public hearing prior to the regular board meeting. The hearing will begin at 6:45 and is being held to discuss the proposed resolution, approving an application for a waiver of mandate regarding tuition for non-resident full-time employees.
If approved it would allow non-resident full-time employees of Carmi-White County Unit Five Schools to enroll their children in school without paying tuition.
The regular meeting will get underway at 7 with discussion of the waiver request, school district bonds, appointment of an IMRF authorized agent and to affirm local school board control of Covid 19 mitigation measures for the 2021-22 school year.
The consent agenda includes board police updates and the five year review, as well as resignations.
Brad Lee will present the superintendent’s report, and a closed session will be held to discuss personnel.
