RLC Welcomes Ham Co for Community Night

Community Nights are organized by the RLC Foundation, Community Outreach, Student Services, and the Athletic Department as a way to welcome high school students on RLC’s campus and feel the school spirit as they cheer on our Warriors at our home games.

“[Community Nights] are a collective effort to showcase our community high schools, talk to high school students about what RLC has to offer, and fundraising The Game Plan,” said Cathy DeJarnette, RLC’s Executive Director of Administrative Services.

The first Community Night of the Spring 2024 semester was on January 10 and it welcomed Hamilton County High School.

Students were given free RLC t-shirts and popcorn from concession. They were welcomed in the lobby by RLC’s friendly academic advisement team for students and parents to ask questions on how they can get started at RLC.

The Hamilton County Community Night also welcomed Wooly Wash Carwash, the sponsor for the night and who made a generous donation of $5,000 to The Game Plan. Two of the owners, Tim and Sherri Millenbine, were there with their family to represent Wooly Wash Carwash.

“Out of that $5,000 [RLCF] is giving back $500 to the high school for the Athletic Director to give back to the groups and clubs that attended,” said Dawn Johnson, RLCF Major Gift Officer.

There are two other Community Nights scheduled for the spring semester thus far.

The first is Benton Community Night on February 17, sponsored by Trudee Wynn Country Financial.

The second is Mt. Vernon Community Night on February 28, sponsored by Crystal Clear Pool and Spas.
