A call was placed to the Carmi Police on a suspect at Dollar General for Retail Theft. Officers responded to the call and found 18-year-old Adeline Crain of Carmi. Crain became uncooperative, biting one officer and spitting on another. In the end, she was charged with two counts of Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer, one count of Resisting/Obstructing Causing Injury, and one count of Retail Theft. Crain was taken to the White County Jail.
