The fall dinner meeting of White County Historical Society on Monday, November 9 will feature a Tribute to Local WW II Veterans. All local veterans and their families and anyone who is interested in local connections to WW II are urged to make reservations and attend this dinner meeting.
Society President Gene Jordan has interviewed some of the local veterans and engaged a professional videographer to produce a DVD in which these veterans relate their WW II experiences. The dinner meeting will begin promptly at 6 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Carmi with the program to follow.
The dinner, catered by The Green Onion, is by reservation only with reservations being accepted by Marjorie Brown at 382-4010 or Paula Pierson at 382-7633.The meal is $15 per person with reservations due by noon on Monday, November 2. Members as well as persons who are not currently members of White County Historical Society are cordially invited to make reservations and attend.
