INA, Ill. (July 1, 2020) — The Rend Lake College Foundation Children’s Center plans to reopen in August following a brief hiatus.
The Children’s Center closed in May to align operations with Illinois’ phased reopening plan. As more restrictions are being lifted, the RLCF Children’s Center has closely reviewed the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services guidelines to develop a set of protocols and procedures for reopening. The Center’s staff will implement these measures to maximize the safety of enrolled children and their families.
The RLCF Children’s Center will initially open its doors on Monday, Aug. 3 for Rend Lake College Staff Children only. The reduced enrollment during this time will allow staff to test and adjust procedures and practices in advance of a full reopening. The Center plans on fully reopening for all students, staff and community members on Monday, Aug. 17.
Starting in August, Children’s Center staff members will reach out to parents and guardians who have children enrolled at the Center to confirm care for the Fall semester and to schedule orientation meetings. Parents and guardians will be provided with complete guidelines during these meetings.
For further information on the plans for reopening, or for childcare options, contact the RLCF Children’s Center at (618) 437-5321 Ext. 1393. Children’s Center staff members will be available starting Monday, July 13.
