On Friday March 31st Illinois Department of Corrections Parole contacted the Wabash County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a parolee who was outside of his GPS parameters. The Sheriff’s Office responded to 109 N. Church Street in Bellmont and made contact with 27 year old Robert W. Pritchard of Albion. Pritchard was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Wabash County Jail. IDOC issued a no bond parole warrant for Pritchard. He is currently awaiting transport back to an IDOC facility.
On Saturday, April 1st after receiving a tip in regards to a wanted individual, the Wabash County Sheriff’s Office went to 109 N. Church Street in Bellmont in reference to an outstanding warrant for 47 year old Eric E. VanMatre of Albion. Upon arrival, the homeowner claimed the subject was not present. Further investigation found that VanMatre was in fact hiding within the residence. VanMatre was wanted on the warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine with a $2500 bond. VanMatre was taken into custody and transported to the Edwards County Sheriff’s Department.
