A Posey County Sheriff’s Deputy injured in the line of duty was recognized at Saturday’s St. Louis Cardinals game. Deputy Bryan Hicks threw out the first pitch of Saturday’s game before the Cardinals took on the Chicago Cubs.
He was injured in September 2021, where he was shot in the head during a welfare check. Deputy Hicks has since received support from several organizations and community members since then. Hicks, a Cardinals fan, got to see his favorite team take home a 5-3 win at that game.
