White County States Attorney Denton Aud announced that a plea deal was reached in White County Court Wednesday morning.
36 year old Anissa Emmerson of Norris City was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of possession of a stolen vehicle and one count of possession of methamphetamine. Both charges resulted in five year sentences that will be served concurrently. In addition, Emmerson will be under two years of supervised release following incarceration.
The charges stem from Emmerson’s arrest on October 8th after multiple local law enforcement agencies hunted for her and co-defendant Joseph Abell in the rural Norris City area. She was represented by public defender Brian Shinkle.
